On Reading

You might come to this site because you're looking to buy boxes of books. Maybe you come here because you just want to see what we're talking about. Or maybe you've never been here before and want to see what it's all about. Essentially, it's about reading. What happens when we read? What does it do to us? How does it change us? How does it improve our lives? Yesterday, I had a chance to join Howard Lewinter on his blog radio show, "Talk Business With Howard," where we answered some of these questions. We also talked about 800-CEO-READ's role in that process, so for those of you that don't know much about our company, you'll find some answers within the radio show, which you can listen to in the widget below. Before the chat, I contributed a blog post about reading at Howard's site, and afterward, it made me think more about why I read, the commitment that's involved to do so, and the results that occur when engaging with an author's words over page upon page. I hope this inspires you to consider the same points for yourself.
