We’re Hiring: Accounting Manager
We all depend on each other here at Porchlight, a small family-owned business based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In the marketing department, we look to the sales team to let us know which books are selling the most. Our customer service team looks to the warehouse crew to keep careful track of inventory. Our management team looks to our technology friends for help slicing and dicing all of our data. And all of us look to our accounting department to make sure the bills are being paid and the invoices are being collected so that we can keep helping authors and publishers get their books to readers, even in these most challenging of times.
We are now looking for a full-time Accounting Manager to set up and supervise our accounting department processes, participate hands-on in daily operations, prepare and analyze financial reports, and develop standards for proper financial management.
This position’s work will be essential for maintaining the financial health and integrity of the organization. This role reports directly to our CEO (Rebecca), works in collaboration with our Managing Director (Sally) and our Technology Director (Zach), and supervises our Accounting Specialist (Mel). If you have a strong background in financial management, mastery of accrual accounting and payroll and benefits administration, and a strong desire to become an integral part of an innovative and growing small business within the book industry, we look forward to meeting you.
