Fire It Up!

Michael Stallard, who wrote the inspiring book, Fired Up or Burned Out, recently did a podcast with IBM. It's been awhile since I read his book, but listening to the podcast this morning reminded me of the importance of creating connection cultures in our jobs and lives. Without having a voice, without having a network to bounce ideas off, without having friends and good sources of honest feedback, the situation can literally become unhealthy, taking years off people's lives. After Stallard started to find himself in such a situation, he began analyzing the problem, and researched how the situation forms, and how it can be changed. His book is the result, and is worth picking up and reading if you haven't yet. Your team, and you, will benefit greatly.
