An Excerpt from THE BED OF PROCRUSTES
By Porchlight
This week we have an excerpt from The Bed of Procrustes by Nassim Nicholas Taleb. You may remember Taleb from his bestselling The Black Swan or his first book, Fooled by Randomness. Taleb is a big thinker, and The Bed of Procrustes is a collection of "philosophical and practical aphorisms" from the author.

Bloomberg Picks 30
Book Review by Porchlight
Here's a list we missed late last month. An Excerpt from Social Innovation, Inc.
By Porchlight
Today, we have an excerpt from Jason Saul's new book, Social Innovation, Inc. , published by Jossey-Bass last month. Recognizing the influence that global corporations have on almost every aspect of our lives today, Jason asked himself some very tricky questions, like: Could Walmart possibly offer a better solution to health care than Medicaid?
