A new inBubbleWrap giveaway: The Social Animal
By Sally Haldorson
The Social Animal is, in part, a book about success--what really drives us toward the superficial accomplishments we tout, where ambition stems from--, but more so it looks at the human experience from numerous perspectives: sociological, neurological, philosophical, anecdotal. He ponders rich questions about how our character is built and evolves, why we remain our own deepest mystery. Brooks succeeds in winding many threads together into a tight braid of story, research, and reflection, with humor and insight.

SXSW and other movements
By Porchlight
We just returned from our first time attending SXSW Interactive in Austin, TX. Between the informative sessions, networking, after-parties, and even our own late night discussions, it was information overload in the best way possible. While many blogs and Twitter feeds will tell you about specific sessions and speakers, what really struck me is the event itself, and that each year, so many people gather in one place, hungry for knowledge sharing.

A Call Against Complacency by Dambisa Moyo “Given the evidence and importance of positive incentives, why, over the past 50 years, have policymakers embarked on a systematic and deliberate strategy of putting in place a catalog of policies that dis-incentivise citizens from acting in a manner that could be beneficial to their economies, and the world at large? ” The Reinvention Imperative by Daniel Burrus & John David Mann “In the good old twentieth century, you could reinvent your company, product category or industry once, and then go for a decade before doing anything especially innovative again. That doesn’t work anymore.
