About Louise Phipps Senft

Louise Phipps Senft is a recognized leader in the field of mediation and conflict resolution and has given hundreds of presentations, speeches, and conference workshops. For more than 20 years she has served as a mediator in the midst of high-conflict situations in families, businesses, and organizations of all types. Also an attorney, she has taught conflict transformation skills to thousands of participants in trainings through the company she founded, Baltimore Mediation, and as a professor at the University of Maryland School of Law. Louise is the recipient of numerous awards and accolades for her leadership in the community, as a business person and mentor to women in business, and for her work in the field of conflict resolution. She is a co-founder of the nonprofit ORANS: The Campaign for Relational Leadership, created for the purpose of developing leaders who will transform conflict effectively through quality dialogue and create lasting positive change. Louise is author of magazine articles, including ten years as a monthly columnist for the Baltimore business newspaper The Daily Record. William Senft is as an attorney, CPA, teacher, youth sports coach, mediator and ordained minister in the Catholic Church. He formerly served as a public high school English teacher and also taught Negotiation Ethics to graduate business students at Johns Hopkins University and Loyola University of Maryland. At Washington & Lee University, he was managing editor of Law Review, and is an experienced author of magazine articles and speeches. He preaches regularly at masses, funerals, weddings, and baptisms at the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen, a large congregation and seat of the Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Baltimore.
