We held annual 800-CEO-READ summer picnic/croquet tournament yesterday. As we do every year, we all gathered at Jack's house. Being good Wisconsinites, we grill up some meat in tube form and fresh corn, grab a drink and settle into the back yard.

Jack has always said that we would never close unless the city buses stopped running, and as far as I can remember, this is the first time 800-CEO-READ has been forced to close due to weather. The blizzard last night was everything the weather experts advertised (for once) and there is a Civil Danger Alert for the City of Milwaukee. The schools are closed.

Jon Mueller became the GM at 8CR a little over a year ago, and has done a really great job making sure that 8CR continues to move forward in the business book world while preserving our off the wall, quirky culture. Jon is thousands of miles away from the office this week (playing music in Japan), so we wanted to share a little bit of what he's doing while we're in the office doing what we do best (playing the office Wii and listening to tunes—while reading, promoting, and selling books of course! ).
